Find adventure in the unexpected
Borealis is a two-month cohort-based remote work experience in Anchorage, Alaska
Welcome to Anchorage: a melting pot of Pacific Rim cultures and one of the world’s northernmost cities. Anchorage offers the amenities of similar-sized subarctic cities such as Reykjavík and Bergen while also serving as a jumping-off point to access Alaska’s rugged, awe-inspiring landscapes.
We can’t wait to show you around.
Integrate into the
Anchorage community on day one.
LIVE
New friends, while stepping into a turnkey downtown life
Be a part of a tight-knit 16-person cohort, making new friends on day one with other adventurous, community-minded young professionals from across the country.
Make yourself at home in a two-bedroom furnished townhouse-style condo just minutes from parks, trails, and downtown Anchorage.
The others in your cohort are also your literal neighbors, all living in adjacent condos — just a text or door knock away from a spur-of-the-moment excursion or borrowing a cup of sugar.
Explore what this land means to past, present, and future generations. Learn about Dena’ina history and language at world-class institutions such as the Alaska Native Heritage Center and Anchorage Museum, and see vibrant installations and performances by local artists.
Quickly immerse yourself in the Anchorage community and make new Alaskan friends through all eight weeks of the program.
